[Bangkok] KIF, located at Civic Horizon – Hotel & Residences in Ekkamai, KIF in Bangkok, is a serene green oasis designed to provide respite from the city’s hustle.

Of course, Ekkamai is a food paradise, with many other notable options like 50-year-old beef stock at Wattana Panich Beef Broth, Here Hai known for Crab Fried Rice, and Arunwan for famous Pig Intestines Soup.

The cafe manages to create a quaint green space with natural light shining through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, offering a peaceful oasis from the bustling city.

Crafted by Studio 1:10, it is fully-coloured in aquamarine, with symmetrical straight lines across the walls and ceiling, surrounded by greenery that makes it seem like a concrete jungle.

Rattan furnishings and earthy tones deck out the interior, complementing the natural landscape.

A state-of-the-art “Slayer” coffee machine crafts espresso-based drinks.

The menu offers classics like Espresso (THB 100, SGD 3.80), Americano (THB 110, SGD 4.20), Cappuccino/Latte, Mocha (THB 120, SGD 4.50), and Matcha/Hojicha Latte (THB 130, SGD 5).

Non-espresso-based drinks include Frappes (THB 140 – 150, SGD 5.30 – 5.70) and Sodas (THB 120, SGD 4.50).

The special menu, which piqued my interest, offers options like Snow Matcha (THB 150, SGD 5.70), Black Matcha (THB 140, SGD 5.30), Coconut Dirty Matcha (THB 140, SGD 5.30), Tiramisu Iced Coffee (THB 150, SGD 5.70), and Black Tropical (THB 150, SGD 5.70).

The Black Matcha (THB 140, SGD 5.30) featured smooth cold brew coffee, topped with bitter-sweet matcha and vanilla cream.

The cold brew coffee was smooth with little astringency, well-balanced by the bitter-sweet matcha cream on top.

The matcha cream, with its earthy tone and umami notes, elevated the entire drink’s taste profile.

Worth mentioning, the Tiramisu Iced Coffee (THB 150, SGD 5.70) tasted similar to the dessert but in drink form.

It was layered with latte at the bottom, tiramisu flavored cream on top, and a ladyfinger on the glass, dusted with cocoa powder and ideal for dipping.

I recommend stirring the sweet-leaning tiramisu cream well before drinking.

This establishment has become a beloved spot for locals, known for its quality offerings and the genuine warmth of its staff
