Famous-awarded French chef, Frederic Coiffé has opened So France’s newest outlet near Singapore’s famed retail street Orchard Road.

This can be the ideal destination du jour for a pleasing gourmet meal, all-day aperitifs, or a quick stop to grab some French gourmet items.

For easier directions, it is kind of located at the back of Orchard Towers.

Interestingly, two other French-style cafes are not too far away – French Fold and Marci Marcel.

So France also has another outlet at Duo Galleria, near Bugis MRT station.

This modern French bistro has a sprawling dining room, the perfect venue to rendezvous with French bistro classics and fine wines.

So France

You can choose to sit indoors which has a more classic European-style dining vibes; or outdoors where you can feel like you are dining al fresco in the greens.

Menu is all about authentic French comfort food, and covers everything from Breakfast (until 11am), Brunch (Weekend only, until 3pm), Lunch (Weekday only, from 11:30am until 2pm), Afternoon Delights, Dinner to Desserts and Wines.

Pair your morning coffee with sweet or savoury crepes, or any of their Weekend Favourites like Duck Conf’wich ($28), a sandwich of shredded duck confit, foie gras, rocket, confit shallot, and mustard; French Toast ($18) with caramelised apples, whipped cream and caramel sauce.

I had their Madame Croq’ ($24) which their own version of the classic Croque Monsieur with 1 egg, and more.

Liked how beautiful crispy the outer layer was, but slight note that it would be strong in the cheese flavour aspect – which some people would adore.

They are also known for their signature So France Beef Burgers ($28) made with a sourdough bun; the juicy beef patty is accompanied with onions confit, raclette cheese and served with French fries.

So France

For a more sophisticated choice, go for the French Limousin Beef ($130) a Côte de Bœuf (Prime Rib) served with mash potatoes, spinach, and Bordelaise sauce.

For extreme indulgence, add a pan seared foie gras for $18.

This all-in-one space also houses So France Market, an on-site gourmet store offering the best artisanal produce that France, predominantly Southwestern France, has to offer.

In the works is an intimate basement lounge, where you can relax and enjoy a thoughtfully curated selection of wines, digestifs and more.

So France

It can be wine heaven for the afficionados with more than 100 different wines, wines from beloved appellations including Bordeaux and Burgundy, as well as smaller producers in areas such as Côtes de Gascogne.

For your utmost convenience, you can shop from their online épicerie, featuring over 1,000 French artisanal and regional products – all sourced from small French producers.
