For the CNY 2023 menu, Dian Xiao Er has launched four new dishes – the WonderFour Chinese New Year Creations – alongside classic reunion sets and the must-have Prosperity YuSheng.
If you prefer takeaways, there are also CNY Eve Takeaway Goodies available from $68, with an early bird promo till 7 Jan 2023.

If you are thinking of celebrating your reunions at Dian Xiao Er, there are the Abundance Set ($278 onwards), Blessings Set ($218 onwards), and Celebration Set ($158 onwards).

Infinite Fortune Prawn with Cornflakes
Make it a lively, bountiful year with this prawn dish on your reunion table. These large, succulent prawns are deep-fried to crispy perfection, then blended into a delectable, sweet sauce.
While the skin has absorbed the mildly sticky sweetness of the sauce, inside the meat remains tender and juicy.
A dish complemented with crunchy golden cornflakes for an enjoyable textural crunch.
Prosperity Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs with Pine Nuts
Meat lovers are in for a treat with these deliciously sticky ribs evenly coated with a sweet and sour marinade incorporating vinegar.
The ribs were considerably tender, served with a sprinkling of roasted pine nuts.
You can get a whiff of that soft, nutty flavour of pine nuts, with under tones of sweetness.
Stir-fry Scallops, Cordyceps Flower & Celtuce with Mushroom Sauce
Created especially for Chinese New Year, this saucy stir-fry dish features plump scallops in a creamy mushroom sauce.
The scallops had a tender and succulent texture, made silkier with the earthy-tasting sauce.
A mix of crispy green slices of celtuce and cordyceps flowers accompany the scallops for a burst of colours, flavour, and nutrients.
Their round shape signifies wholesome and togetherness making it spot on for your reunion dinner.
Braised Abalone with Egg Tofu in Special Miso Sauce
Indulge yourself in a luxurious dish of braised abalone and enoki mushroom soaked in a Chef’s special house-made miso sauce which gives this a distinctive flavour.
Made from a signature recipe, this luscious sauce is also slathered over silky smooth blocks of deep-fried golden egg tofu.
The abalone were soft and slightly chewy. Together with the velvetiness of the tofu, you can get an interesting explosion of textures in your palate.
YuSheng with 2 options: Smoked Salmon YuSheng or Abalone YuSheng
Available for Dine-In and Takeaway, the Prosperity YuSheng comes in 2 versions: Smoked Salmon Yusheng ($38 Medium, $60 Large), and Abalone YuSheng ($46 Medium, $68 Large) for ala carte orders as well.
A set includes a platter of your preferred seafood (smoked salmon or abalone), plus a heap of assorted shredded veggies including white and green radish, carrots, turnip, red pickled ginger, and lots more.
Generously drizzle the YuSheng sauce over everything and sprinkle crispy pok chui crackers.
In a Yusheng, the auspicious ingredients are first added, then tossed and mixed from a height to attract good fortune.
Add-ons of Smoked Salmon ($13), Abalone ($16), Pok Chui Crackers ($3) are also available.
Duck Roasted with Angelica Herb
Of course, not forgetting the signature Duck Roasted with Angelica Herb, in which fine Cherry Valley ducks are prepared fresh and roasted daily to create delectable meat, with rich flavours coming from marination for hours in spices and a myriad of herbs.
The duck would be paired with a specially concocted herbal sauce – you can choose from Dang Gui (Angelica Herb), Shi Quan (Ten Wonder Herbs) and Pao Shen (Wild Ginseng).
The most popular choice would be the Dang Gui, which is my personal favourite as well. The juicy roasted duck, complemented by the nourishing herbal sauce, was a mouth-watering temptation hard to resist.
