[Shanghai] The Michelin Guide has just announced results for the city of Shanghai.
No major surprises. Ultraviolet conceived by Paul Pairet, the first restaurant in the world of its kind uniting food with multi-sensory technology, has retained its three stars.
Even though an immersive dining experience there would set you back by RMB4000 (SGD800, USD584) minimally, seats are still highly converted and reservations are typically full-full.
Previous year’s 3-star awardee T’ang Court, has lost a star and enters the “Two Stars” list.
Xin Rong Ji which specialises in Taizhou cuisine, is the highest new entry with Two Stars.
The other five new 1-star restaurants are Amazing Chinese Cuisine 菁禧荟, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, Jade Mansion 苏浙总会, Le Comptoir de Pierre Gagnaire, and Moose 鹿园.
