[Bangkok] Deriving its playful name from the fluffy ‘Cottontail’ rabbit, this chic Qottantale cafe embraces the concept of “the rabbit hole in the concrete jungle”.

It is found in the charming Phloen Chit neighbourhood, amidst a row of distinct terracotta-red townhouses that boast over 30 years of architectural history.

While there is no parking on site, a short stroll from Ruenrudee Village or a 5-minute walk from the Phloen Chit BTS station gets you there effortlessly.

Its iconic orange brick exterior stands out.

And if you are a fan of those Instagram-worthy moments, the cafe’s facade, kissed by morning or evening sun, is the spot.

Inside, it is a marriage of white and orange. Sunlight floods through large windows, making the space feel open and expansive.

The wooden accents and flooring wrap you in a cosy embrace.

It is not just a cafe. It is also a fashion stop featuring brands like GeneDemin, Mosest.th, and of course, Qottontale. Sip a coffee and shop – the perfect multitask.

Whether you choose the indoors’ chic settings or the picturesque rooftop outdoors, you are in for a treat.

The latter especially comes alive in the evening, letting you soak in city views over a warm brew.

Their menu is vast. From hearty breakfasts featuring dishes like the Howdy Set and Qottontale Omelet to indulgent croissants and brownies for the sweet-toothed.

Recommended items include Spaghetti Tomato Sauce (THB 220), Caesar Salad (THB 160), Croffle Cream Oreo (THB 160), Cookie Butter (THB 40), Cappucino (THB 120), and Yuzu Aquamarine (THB 160).

My order was an all-rounder Sunshine on Pan set (THB 300) – a pan of fried eggs with minced pork.

The pork sausages were also hot and tasty, providing a hearty and satisfying protein source.

Coffee aficionados can dive into classics or explore offerings like matcha lattes.

And if coffee is not your cup, they’ve got teas and fresh juices ready to quench.

The Iced Matcha Latte (THB 120) was creamy, fragrant, and just the right balance of green tea ‘bitterness’.

The Sunset (THB 150) with its passion fruit allure, hits the perfect sweet-sour note when you mix in the syrup.

Qottontale Cafe is more than just a pit stop.

It is where style meets comfort, where food and fashion blend, and where every sip feels like a mini-vacation.
