Every year the Hong Kong Michelin Guide gets published, there are always some kind of controversies. Other than the typical “Why is this restaurant in, and why is this out?” type of questions, this is the first time Hong Kong ‘street food’ is added to the Michelin edition. Street food. 23 on the list. That includes Butchers Club popular for their Double Happiness Burgers and Duck Fat Fries and ‘Fat Boy’ 第三代肥仔小食店 selling pig intestines on sticks. Now with the Michelin-honours.

No major surprises for the 3-star category, except the addition of T’ang Court at Langham, which will share the limelight with Lung King Keen as the only Chinese restaurants in the world with 3 Michelin stars (Sun Tung Lok used to have three-stars too long, long ago.)

If you are curious, dim sum makers Tim Ho Wan has retained their one-star in 2 of their branches, but lost from the Tai Kok Tsui Olympian City outlet.
