The cake is adorned with white chocolate snowflakes and a velvety snow-white chocolate spray, adding to its festive charm.

InterContinental Singapore’s Grandeur Blue Yule Log ($108) stands out in this season’s festive dessert lineup.

Crafted by the talented Executive Pastry Chef Jason Goh and his team, this log cake is not just a dessert, it’s a 1kg statement of art.

Coconut mousse and mango-passion crémeux layer together to give it that tropical savour, while attap seed adds an unexpected crunch.

The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore – Chocolate Yule Log Cake
The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore has indeed outdone itself with its festive goodies this year.

The Chocolate Yule Log Cake ($98 for 1.3kg roll) is a sizable treat great for sharing. The chocolate roulade, paired with the tartness of blueberry preserve and the rich, luxurious dark chocolate ganache, offers a complex taste.

What I liked was the addition of Andraschko coffee which brings that aromatic depth. A drizzle of salted caramel on top adds a final, irresistible touch to this beautiful cake.

Then there’s the White Mistletoe Cake ($98), a newcomer which combines the tartness of Morello Cherry with the sweetness of candied citrus and golden raisins. It is artfully frosted with cream cheese and an ivory Magnum glaze.

For those who favour traditional holiday flavours, the Plantation 1840 Rum Fruit Cake ($68) is infused with the Plantation 1840 cocktail – a signature from The Bar at 15 Stamford.

It incorporates a boozy kick that marries well with the sweet, dense fruit cake for festive indulgence.

Cedele – My Black Cabin Log House
Cedele has outdone itself this year with three distinct Logcake flavours.

First, there’s the Peppermint Flourless Chocolate Log Cake ($68), a gluten-free delight made with a rich blend of a 26-year-old chocolate, organic sugar, and fine European butter.

This is all wrapped up in a refreshing peppermint mousse and covered with a smooth chocolate ganache.

Following that, we have the Strawberry Tiramisu Champagne Log Cake ($78) which spells elegance in every bite. This cake boasts champagne-soaked layers combined with fresh strawberries and a rich dark chocolate mousse.

It is the My Black Cabin Log House ($88) that deserves the special mention (order this online).

This masterpiece consists of three layers of red velvet sponge cake. The pistachio cream and Italian meringue caramel cream blend harmoniously, with chopped almonds giving it a rustic feel.

What truly makes it stand out is the rich chocolate ganache and raspberry buttercream decoration. To top it off, fresh berries on the side not only enhance its appearance but also add a burst of freshness, making it the wonderful festive centerpiece.
