Check out the following 10 recommendations, from traditional delights, exquisite offerings, to exclusive shopping deals:

SunnyHills
Signature Pineapple Cakes

SunnyHills, a celebrated name in Taiwan, has been delighting taste buds with its Signature Pineapple Cakes for generations.

For gifting, you can look forward to SunnyHills’ Fortune CNY Assorted Gift Box 六小福礼盒 ($44, U.P $46.30) which is thoughtfully curated.

Inside, you will find their Signature Pineapple Cakes. At the heart of these treats is a 60-year-old recipe, made with the finest natural ingredients and organic pineapples.

Joining these cakes are the special CNY edition Banana Waffle Cookies complete with a Spring (春) puzzle cookie for an added touch of fun; and the Japanese Kougyoku Apple Cake embraced with velvety roasted sweet potato.

As a keepsake of the Lunar Year, each gift comes with a limited-edition Year of the Dragon reusable linen tote bag.

HiWalk 海邊走走
Peanut Filled (Extra Thick) Egg Rolls

HiWalk 海邊走走 recognised as Taiwan’s leading Egg Roll brand, has reinvented the traditional egg roll.

These Handmade Egg Rolls stand out for their thickness (they are actually 10 times the thickness of your typical egg roll), offering a hearty and satisfying crunch.

Made with selected eggs and pure New Zealand butter without any water or milk to dilute the taste, you can imagine that dense and rich mouthfeel.

But the delights don’t end there.

Also offered are Peanut Filled (Extra Thick) Egg Rolls ($16.50, 4 packs with 8 rolls in a box) which set themselves apart as the only egg rolls in Taiwan filled with a natural peanut paste.

This isn’t just any peanut paste; they are made from peanuts sourced from BeiGang – renowned for its superior peanuts. The paste is also blended using an in-house recipe that does not use any artificial flavouring. Yums.

La Levain
Bobochacha Cookies

La Levain has introduced an enticing array of 12 Chinese New Year treats.

Handcrafted by Chef Wythe and team, you would find them made with pure butter and less sugar – promising a taste in which quality and natural flavours shine through.

Among the highlights are Osmanthus Pineapple Balls, Margaret Butter Cookies, Sicilian Pistachio Praline Cookies, Macadamia Butter Cookies, to even Bobochacha Cookies.

La Levain’s Bobochacha Cookies are a cookie treat inspired by a popular Singaporean dessert.

These cookies are special because they incorporate the natural sweetness of Taiwanese sweet potatoes. Alongside the sweet potatoes, natural pumpkin and purple yam powders are used to add depth and variety to the cookies’ taste profile.

KELE
Golden Osmanthus Pineapple Tarts

KELE, a name synonymous with quality and tradition, has been crafting its acclaimed Traditional Pineapple Tarts ($33.80) for over three decades.

Voted as the best pineapple tarts in Singapore, KELE’s handmade offerings have charmed many with their milky flavour, soft buttery crust, and the ideal balance of pineapple and tart.

Plus, they are free from preservatives, additives, or artificial colouring.

While the traditional flavour remains a classic favourite, KELE also offers Rose, Matcha, Sweet Potato, and Black Sesame (also available in low sugar) options.

This Lunar New Year, KELE have also partnered with Gryphon Tea Company to create the limited edition Golden Osmanthus Pineapple Tarts.

This creation marries KELE’s signature buttery crust with the aromatic floral notes of Gryphon’s Golden Osmanthus Tea.

Each tart is crowned with premium pineapple jam and a dusting of edible gold powder, adding a touch of luxury.

Mdm Ling Bakery
Layers To Success Kueh Lapis

Mdm Ling Bakery presents itself as a chic and wallet-friendly alternative in the snack industry, offering a blend of homemade treats and a selection of snacks from across Asia.

The bakery’s latest creation, the Layers To Success Kueh Lapis ($69.80 for 4 pieces, U.P $79.00), brings a new level of symbolism to the already meaningful delicacy.

Mdm Ling Bakery takes this a step further by decorating each layer with auspicious Chinese characters – 吉 (good luck), 福 (fortune), 發 (wealth), and 旺 (flourishing success).

These are available in four beloved local flavours – original, pandan, chocolate, and hawthorn – there’s a taste to suit every palate.

My favourite was the Pandan Kueh Lapis with buttery richness of the cake, matched with moist texture and light aromatic layers.

Pryce Tea
Heavenly Dragon Gift Set
(Limited Edition Release)

Pryce Tea introduces the Heavenly Dragon Gift Set ($138.00 for early bird, U.P $198.00), a limited-edition release that’s as elegant as it is exclusive.

Open this majestic box to discover a treasure trove of delights.

Nestled inside is a PRYCE pineapple cup, filled with eight golden pineapple tarts. Each tart is a bite of bliss, with a golden crust and a sweet, tangy filling.

Accompanying these treats is The Pavilion teapot set, an embodiment of elegance, perfect for brewing and serving tea.

You can personalise this gift from three pineapple cup colours, five teapot set colours, and four exquisite Taiwanese teas from the Tai-Cha collection.

Whether you prefer the smooth, subtle flavours or bold, aromatic blends, there’s a tea to suit every taste.

Mahota
Signature Yuzu Pineapple Tarts

Mahota is a local homegrown brand known for its commitment to natural, high-quality ingredients.

Since its establishment in 2016, Mahota has made a name for itself by offering products free from preservatives and artificial flavourings.

The set includes Signature Yuzu Pineapple Tarts, Pandan Sesame Pineapple Tarts, Cranberry Florentines, Pumpkin & Flaxseed Florentines, Chocolate Macadamia Cookies and Hae Bee Hiam Cookies in a limited-edition festive gift box.

Sugar & Spice 糖村
French Nougat

Sugar & Spice 糖村, established in 1996 in Taiwan, has become a beloved name in the realm of sweets and gifts.

With a vision cantered around the joy of sharing, they meticulously select ingredients from France, Europe, the USA, and incorporate fresh local produce from Taiwan, ensuring quality snacks.

As this is their first pop-up in Singapore, do get your hands on their award-winning French Nougat ($21 for 182g, $27 for 250g, $38 for 400g).

What makes it so special?

It is a soft, chewy treat, with a sweetness that is rich but not overwhelming. The nougat is studded with nuts, adding a satisfying crunch and a nutty depth that complements the sugary base beautifully.

This French Nougat has received accolades such as the iTQi Super Taste Award from the International Taste & Quality Institute and high rankings in various online surveys, including being named one of the world’s top ten must-eat snacks.

Even prestigious events like the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival have designated it as their souvenir of choice.

Bread & Butter Bakehouse
Matcha Almond Cookies

Bread & Butter Bakehouse stands out by infusing traditional methods with innovative flavours, creating an array of tempting treats.

As the Chinese New Year approaches, Bread & Butter Bakehouse unveils a selection of festive goodies.

Among these, the Nonya Apple Shaped Pineapple Tarts with Cloves are a standout. These treats feature a low-sugar, premium pineapple paste at their heart, offering a sweet, tangy burst with every bite.

There are also the Cornflake Cookies, Almond Pillows, Lychee Cookies, Cranberry Rolled Oats Cookies, and Cashew Nut Cookies with crumbly interior.

Not to be overshadowed, the Matcha Almond Cookies are made with Japanese Matcha and premium-grade almond flour, boasting a crunchy exterior and a rich, earthy flavour.

Samantha Mantou 手作工坊
Animal Chocolate Buns

At Samantha Mantou 手作工坊, the art of bun-making takes a delightful turn with their Animal Buns.

Handmade with care, each bun is a character in its own right, crafted from quality ingredients and natural-coloured powders to bring to life an array of adorable animals.

The “Kiap Kiap Buns” are particularly eye-catching, featuring cute designs of pigs, rabbits, and fortune cats.

This pack of six of Animal Chocolate Buns is not just a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. Each one is filled with a rich, chocolatey centre, making every bite a sweet surprise.
