With an outlet in Yeoksam, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, B for Bagel has opened their first overseas outlet in Singapore at the basement of Tanglin Mall.

Located at the corner of basement floor, B For Bagel is decked in a cool shade of striking orange with lots of photo spots for the the gram.

The entire space has a loud and vibrant outlook, with of clean lines and layout that is energising.

There is even a #OOTD corner decked in posters and shelves of customised tablewares for patrons to take photos or TikTok videos.

Bagels are freshly made in-house, so the number of selection decreases towards the end of the day.

With 12 different bagels flavours on display, check out their interesting selection of savoury and sweet options.

The savoury selection of bagels include Sesame ($3.90), Wholewheat Multigrains ($4.30), Chia Seed ($4.30), Kalamata Olive ($5.20), Spinach ($5.20), Garlic Butter Cheese ($5.50) and Salt N Butter ($5.20).

On the other hand, their sweet selection includes Soboro – Cookie Dough ($4.50), Apple Cinnamon Chutney ($4.90), Cinnamon Orange ($5.20) and Fig Chutney ($5.20).

My favourite bagel on display is the Garlic Butter Cheese ($5.50), a recreation of the once trending Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread, except in the form of a bagel here.

It has a nice creamy and garlicky touch, that complements well with the chewy and sweet bagel used.

For those who wants to customise their bagels, there are small bottles of cream cheese ($4.30) for add-on, in various flavours such as Fig, Spring Onion, Blueberry Jam, Strawberry Jam, maple and Herb Mix.

For a more filling option, check out their Bagel Sandwich with different stuffings such as Jambon Butter Bagel ($11.90), Bacon Cheese Omelette ($14.50), Smoked Salmon Bagel ($16.90) and Ham and Fig Chutney ($12.40).

The Bacon Cheese Omelette ($14.50) was Mashisoyo!

Comes with a thick cut of soft, fluffy omelette, in contrast to their firm and chewy bagels.

A hearty and generous option that is filling and satisfying at the same time.

B for Bagel

Probably the first time I had come across a dessert bagel, think flavours such as Peach Cloud ($7.50), Banana Cloud ($7.50) and Mango Cloud ($7.90), each stuffed with fruits and whipping cream.

With the amount of whipping cream in it, I was initially skeptical and thought it will be too jelak.

Instead, the whipping cream is light and fluffy, a distinct milky taste that complements well with the sliced peaches in the Peach Cloud ($7.50).

The meal is not complete with some caffeinated drinks.

Think Americano ($5.50), Latte ($6.50), Vanilla Bean Latte ($6.90), Salted Caramel Latte ($6.90) and Einspenner ($6.50).

I begin to appreciate Einspenner ($6.50) since my last trip to Korea, a trending drink that can be found in every single cafes there.

The classic Viennese coffee with whipped cream on top and espresso beneath it has the right balance of sweetness, leaving a strong acidic lingering finish on the palate.

With a bagel-centric menu that offers quite a selection here, I believed B for Bagels is probably one of the better bagel bakehouses (that’s a mouth of Bs) in Singapore.
